| Art from under the floorboards
'Everyone's journey is different, A red carpet is rolled out for some. Whilst others trod under the floorboards, Away from the lights and the sun...'
With the diverse programs and unique connection with so many parts of our local community, UnitingCare Ballarat sees the world through different eyes. Through Art from under the floorboards, 12 artists will gain insight into UnitingCare Ballarat's operations and gain understanding of the individuals, communities, and services it provides; and will then create a representative body of work reflecting that experience.
Under the floorboards residencies are open to any art form, with the aim being the development and creation of artistic interpretations of the residency experience. Artists will be awarded their residency through a competitive selection process based on responses to the application, understanding of the brief, and relevant experience.
Applications close 25th May 2012. For the Prospectus and application form, please click here.
