| UnitingCare Ballarat is responsible for many essential community programs that are not eligible for government funding such as BreezeWay - Ballarat's only Meals for Homeless People, Emergency Relief and Welfare projects that educate and empower as well as a wide range of homeless support iniatives. These programs could not exist without the generous support from hundreds of volunteers and community members who donate money and goods and those who make bequests to UnitingCare Ballarat. You too can help UnitingCare Ballarat by:
One method of making a difference is by considering a bequest to UnitingCare Ballarat and thus to the disadvataged people of Ballarat as part of your will. A Will can be a method of reflecting on your own life and your own personal achievements. A bequest can leave a meaningful legacy related to your values and beliefs about society and a way of helping future generations growing up and living in the Central Victoria region. UnitingCare Ballarat works with disadvantaged and marginalised people - people who are homeless, overcoming an alcohol or drug addiction, coping with a disability or dealing with the ageing process. UnitingCare Ballarat reaches out to all these people. But, it does cost money to help them. In fact it costs more than $1100 per day to keep our programs running. This is on top of the money received from the government for a few of our programs. By including a bequest to UnitingCare Ballarat in your Will, you are ensuring that those in need in our region continue to receive essential servives. The agency of UnitingCare Ballarat has a strong 'doing' ethos. We are an integral part of Ballarat and proud of it. When people need help in Ballarat, they think of UnitingCare. We hope you too, will share in our pride and sense of community by considering a bequest to the agency and that your life will enriched by knowing you will make a significant difference to the people of Ballarat after your death. |
