How Can I Help?

UnitingCare Ballarat is responsible for many essential community programs that are not eligible for government funding such as BreezeWay - Ballarat's only Meals for Homeless People, Emergency Relief and Welfare projects that educate and empower as well as a wide range of homeless support iniatives.

These programs could not exist without the generous support from hundreds of volunteers and community members who donate money and goods and those who make bequests to UnitingCare Ballarat.

UnitingCare Ballarat works with disadvantaged and marginalised people - people who are homeless, overcoming an alcohol or drug addiction, coping with a disability, dealing with the ageing process or just in crisis.  UnitingCare Ballarat reaches out to all these people.

It does cost money to help everyone of these people.  In fact it costs more than $1100 per day to keep our programs running.  This is on top of the money received from the government for a few of our programs.

The agency of UnitingCare Ballarat has a strong 'doing' ethos.  We are an integral part of Ballarat and proud of it.  When people need help in Ballarat, we hope they think of UnitingCare Ballarat.

We hope you too, will share in our pride and sense of community by considering helping our agency by volunteering, donating or making a bequest and that your life will enriched by knowing you are making a difference to people in crisis in Ballarat.
