The aim of UnitingCare Ballarat’s Welfare and Support Program is to assist families and individuals experiencing financial difficulty and homelessness. Our programs are designed to provide immediate material support and the skills and knowledge that will assist people regain their independence.

BreezeWay Meals Program provides a free substantial and nutritional midday meal every day of the year, including Christmas Day.

Welfare Program consists of Emergency Relief, Budget / Money Management and the White Goods Loan Scheme.

Family Ties is Ballarat’s Family Sponsorship Program. Families experiencing difficulties are matched with sponsors. Current sponsors include community, business and school groups, families, groups of friends and individuals.

Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP) assists families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  There are five separate services under the SAAP program.  Please click on the link for further information.
